Responsibilities

Reporting to the President you will focus on growing revenues rapidly by closing big ticket sales to brand name customers worldwide. Using your proven sales success to telcos or in the enterprise software market and seasoned professionalism, your mandate is to deliver:


 
Sales: You will convert the company's first mover advantage into domination deliver several $ 10 million + orders over the next 18 months. You will use your in depth knowledge of the industry and the participants involved, to sell strategically to executive levels and tactically to engineering and operating levels, and to create enthusiastic buy-in from all key decision-makers and influencers. You will build a repeatable and scalable sales model and sales process.  
 
Client Intelligence: You are on top of changes in the procurement process, budgets, priorities and the preoccupations of your target market.  
 
Competitor Intelligence: You will use your up to the minute information on competitor activities, pricing, product offering and sales and distribution strategies to ensure the company’s competitive positioning.  
 
Sales Alliances: You will leverage your in depth knowledge of directly and indirectly competitive product offerings to create timely alliances on a case by case basis.  
 
Technology:You are in your element presenting high tech networking products or enterprise software solutions in terms of features and benefits to technical and non-technical customers.  
 
Sales Planning and Forecasting: You will build an aggressive sales plan, including accurate 12-month forecasts, focused on strategic accounts and on decreasing the long sales cycle You will also build an operational budget, ensure cost effective expenditure and prepare monthly sales pipeline reports.  
 
Bids: You will identify bid opportunities; communicate your client intelligence to the company’s team including all in-country costs and ensure that targeted, high quality, on time bids are prepared.  

 

Qualifications

You are a seasoned sales professional with a get it closed yesterday mentality. Your 8-10 years of successful sales experience with a brand name telecom equipment manufacturer or enterprise software company, shows that you:

 
Are a natural closer who gets high on closing large ticket sales
 
 
Are a people magnet, customers love to do deals with you  
 
You sell based on brand and your reputation not based on price  
 
Don’t like being in an office and are not comfortable unless you are constantly traveling  
 
Know everyone on the tradeshow floor  
 
Only need a cell phone and a laptop to work effectively from anywhere in the world  
 
Are comfortable using only digital marketing collaterals such as powerpoint presentations, customer case studies, ebrochures, press releases and website content  
 
Are proficient in the use of Customer Contact Software (ex. Goldmine, Act) and are up on the latest techniques in CRM (Customer Relationship Management)  

You will travel extensively in North America and worldwide. You work at high speed and are always thinking in the background and planning the next step. As a people person, you are recognized for your ability to build relationships based on trust with customers. Knowledge of Spanish, French or another language would be an asset.
